How time-intensive is this retreat? 

The program is spread over four full days together with an entry and exit day.  The retreat session will include group interaction as well as time for self-reflection.  There will be times that these sessions will continue into the evening.

The sessions will are experiential in nature.  Experimental learning is experiencing and practising new concepts and material that would take you out of your comfort zone to help you grow. Through the experience, debrief and reflection you will have a chance to observe yourself and others and make decisions to do things differently in your life.  You will be encouraged to actively experiment with these learnings to put them to the test during and in the follow-on group sessions to embed the change you want to make.  


How can I take the learning from this retreat back into my life?

Following the retreat there will be six bi-weekly group sessions, three of these will be self-led by the group.  These follow-on sessions are designed to segment the learning and practice your leadership skills with like-minded women.


During the group sessions, you will alternate between sitting, standing and moving depending on the session being held.  We want you to feel comfortable so please let us know if you have any physical problems that may hinder you from taking part.


A daily routine will look something like this:

16:15    Group session

18:00    Dinner

After dinner - Freetime/Group session


Group session - these may comprise of work with the whole group, in pairs, individual reflections, movement, brainstorming, creativity.



Three wholesome and delicious meals are served each day, along with morning and afternoon tea, coffee and snacks.  All the food is provided for you, so there is no need to bring your food.  However, if you want some special snack, please feel to bring it. 


IMPORTANT:  If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know before the retreat so we can cater to your needs. 


REMINDER:  The retreat centre is alcohol and drug-free.  Please do not bring alcohol or drugs to the retreat.  


Accommodation details 

All rooms are located within the retreat chalet.  The single occupancy rooms are included in the retreat fees.  Rooms will either be a double or two single beds.  All rooms have their own bathroom with either a bath or a shower.  It is possible to share rooms if you so wish, please advise at time of booking. 




All bedding and towels are provided .




There are laundry facilities available.  Please bring your own laundry powder.


Internet Access

There is internet access; however, we encourage you to disengage from your electronics to have the full experience entirely. 



The chalet itself is smoke-free.  If you are a smoker, you can smoke outside away from the chalet. 


What to bring 

This list is a suggestion of what to bring and not a complete packing list.  We will be going outside on a number of occasions, and you will need warm clothes

Location, transport and arrival 

Location of retreat

  • The location of the retreat is in Abondance, France within the Portes du Soleil ski area.  It's 30 kilometres south of Lake Geneva and 10 km from the Switzerland border.


What airport should I use? 

  • The closest airport is Geneva.  There will be a taxi bus to take you from the Airport directly to the retreat.  The journey will approx 1hr 30 mins.

Driving directions from Geneva 

  • The most exact location is Les Ogay, 74360 Abondance, France

  • Take road D22, go through Abondance village in the direction of Chapel d'Abonance / Châtel. 

  • 2 km after Abondance village, right after the garage Trincaz,  turn right. You will go over a small bridge, and in about 150 meters the Chalet will be on your right


When does the retreat begin and end?

The retreat will begin at 16:00 CET on 7th April 2019 and will end at 10:00 CET on 12th April 2019.

Cancellation Policy 

Within four (4) weeks or more notice: full fee is transferable for use within 12 months.

Less than four (4) weeks notice: full fee is forfeited.
